An Indian origin dentist in Sydney, who had been missing since Sunday, was found stabbed to death Tuesday night, police said. The suitcase was located in her auto which is parked in a street in the eastern Sydney reported New South Wales police.

The gruesome discovery followed her former boyfriend fatally driving his BMW into a semi-trailer on the New England Highway on Monday night.

She told her family she would head home after a late breakfast, and when she failed to return, her family contacted police.

Preethi was captured on CCTV inside McDonald's at the Strand Arcade in central Sydney about 2.15 a.m. on Sunday and appeared to leave alone.

She was last seen at Macdonalds following the Mardi Gras parade, and last spoke to her family at around 11am on Sunday, letting them know she was heading home. The investigation officials also launched a search which included inquiries to locate her vehicle, a grey Volkswagen Golf.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers found the woman's body in a suitcase.

"Glenbrook Dental Surgery staff are in mourning to hear the sad news about Preethi Reddy", her colleagues posted on Wednesday morning.

Preethi severed off her romantic relationship with Narde who, it seemed, could not handle the break-up.

Detectives are still working to piece together exactly what happened to the much-loved Penrith doctor - what is known is that Narde, a Tamworth dentist, drove 400km to attend a dental conference at St Leonards in Sydney's north where he met up with Dr Reddy over the weekend. It has been confirmed that he deliberately drove his auto into the path of a semi-trailer. The 49-year-old male truck driver managed to escape before the entire truck was engulfed in flames.

She had last spoken to her family on Sunday morning after staying the night in the Sydney CBD with her ex-boyfriend after the convention. The newspaper also quoted investigators as saying that Harsh may have attended the conference just to meet her again.
