But from the smiles and applause that followed, it seems that Huawei is poised to really launch its own take on the foldable smartphone next month. Xiaomi is the latest to confirm the rumors but before that, Samsung and Huawei had already revealed information on their devices. A new leak suggests that there's a second foldable phone in the works as well - and that this would be a gaming phone.
Huawei's foldable smartphone is most likely to feature 5G connectivity, which will be one of the biggest additions that Android smartphone manufacturers will tout this year. By the looks of the teased image, the phone should fold down in the middle with the screen on the outside. Xiaomi will likely be at this year's MWC but it is now unclear if the device seen in the teaser will be shown there.
Stingy Patriots, Rams defenses put this Super Bowl prop in play
The New England Patriots have enjoyed success like few other teams in sports history since the turn of the century. Tom Brady's a great quarterback.
Crucially, though, and another reason why we think that the device in this video could very well be the unannounced Samsung folding phone is that the design, despite getting better, remains fundamentally the same. The 5G foldable smartphone is expected to come equipped with the in-house HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC and the Balong 5000 modem.
As of now, the Huawei foldable phone has no official name. By end-February, we will have seen at least two folding phones from big-name companies. However, the Cupertino giant will not go onboard the foldable category anytime soon and a 5G equipped iPhone is expected to arrive before 2020 at the earliest.
