Kent County Sheriff Michelle LaJoye-Young says authorities responded Monday at around 3 p.m.to a property in Solon Township, near Cedar Springs, a community about 30 miles north of Grand Rapids.

The children were elementary school-aged and younger, WOOD-TV reported. She added that they are investigating the possibility of a murder suicide.
LaJoye-Young said it was "a horrific thing" for the department to be called out to.
