Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has said the club will trigger an extension clause in Toby Alderweireld's contract. The 29-year-old had barely played at the back end of last season, despite being fit after a hamstring injury, as Pochettino appeared to freeze him out.
Tottenham head in to the weekend action sitting second in the Premier League table after scoring 11 goals in their last two games so Pochettino will be looking for a win to reduce Liverpool's gap to three points ahead of their clash with Arsenal.
With a glut of games still to come, both in the coming weeks and for the rest of the season - with Spurs still in four competitions - several youngsters trained alongside the established first team, including George Marsh, Kazaiah Sterling and Oliver Skipp.
"They are doing very well, that shows the quality of the squad, the quality of the work, the management, it's going to be very tough and we look at Tottenham knowing (Saturday) is going to be a hard game".
"Wolves are a very good team that play very well".
"I said, "Relax, you need to train this morning and then we'll see tomorrow and assess you".
Which stores are open on Christmas?
It's a day before Christmas and all through the mall, people are out shopping for last-minute Christmas items. The malls are closing at 6 p.m. but Sears is closing at 9 p.m.at most stores, 8 p.m.at Richardson Square.
Harry Kane joked that Christmas dinner could become a regular feature on the menu at Tottenham's training ground after a 5-0 Boxing Day demolition of Bournemouth.
But Spurs would have to receive that £25m offer from another club 14 or more days before the end of the summer 2019 transfer window.
"All the teams in the Premier League we have to fear".
"It is going to be tough, it was tough the game we played a few months ago".
"Maybe every day we talk (with chairman Daniel Levy and chief scout Steve Hitchen) but it depends on if players are going to leave and to have space to sign players".
