Even before 2.0's release, a report in Bollywood Hungama had claimed that the makers have already sold the satellite rights, digital rights and music rights for Rs 370 crore. Although the film has declined on Day 2, the biz should gather momentum on Day 3 [Sat] and Day 4 [Sun]... The film has released worldwide on November 29.
Anchorage residents say quake was worst in years
A National Weather Service employee on duty in Anchorage during the temblor called it "the scariest quake I have ever been in". He was in an elevator in a high-rise Anchorage office building and said it was a "rough ride" coming down.
However, the movie, which was tipped to beat the box-office records of Director SS Rajamouli's monumental epic Baahubali-2 The Conclusion released in 2017, fell way short of the period film's first-day gross collection of approximately ₹155 crore. The film, which opened at a whopping Rs 64 crore (all languages) continues to remain strong during the weekend. Being a Tamil film predominantly, 2.0 is doing great business at the box office in the North belt as well. As per the early estimates, the film has shown an enormous growth during the weekend and collected around Rs 25 crore nett on Saturday. Directed by Shankar and co-written with B. Jeyamohan, the film had on opening day earned Rs 20.25 crore at the Indian box office. The film's music is composed by double Oscar victor AR Rahman. Thursday ₹20.25 cr. India biz.
