Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp, a Republican locked in a tough race for governor, has opened an investigation into the Democratic Party of Georgia, citing "possible cyber crimes" after it detected a failed attempt to hack voter-registration systems. Abrams and Kemp are both condemning an automated telephone call filled with racist and anti-Semitic statements.

Abrams would be the first black female governor in American history, and she's sought the post as an unapologetic liberal trying to draw new voters to the polls and prove that Georgia's growth and diversity make it a legitimate two-party battleground.

Among that "onslaught", Winfrey blasted Republican ads she'd seen in her hotel room casting Abrams as too radical for the state, calling it "noise...created to confound you with fear". Winfrey continued, despite the woman's surprise.
The 64-year-old media titan shared a video on her Instagram page holding a clipboard and knocking on the door of a voter named Denise.
"The Democratic Party of Georgia shares that concern, but we did not create, discover or attempt to take advantage of the deeply vulnerable system used by the Secretary of State's office".
The robocall says it was paid for by the group Road to Power, which is an Idaho-based white supremacist group.
