Just a day after Jet Airways made a mid-way home return due to crew's carelessness of not maintaining the air-pressure, Mumbai Police on Friday, September 21 booked the airline for "attempt to murder".
Several passengers on a Jet Airways Mumbai-Jaipur flight suffered nose and ear bleeding on Thursday morning as the pilots forgot to switch on the system to maintain cabin pressure, the DGCA said.
Flight 9W 697, a Boeing 737 aircraft, was carrying 166 passengers when the incident took place.
Subsequently, Oxygen masks were deployed for the passengers on board.

An airline statement said Flight 9W697 with 166 passengers and five crew members landed normally in Mumbai.
The crew has been taken off duty and Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has started an investigation into the incident. "Some of us experienced nose bleeding and headache".
The minister has directed officials concerned to prepare a comprehensive safety audit plan, which involves assessment of safety parameters of all scheduled airlines, aerodromes, flying training schools and MROs (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Organisations) immediately, the statement said.
Others posted videos from the cabin, showing passengers sitting quietly and breathing through oxygen masks.
Those affected were given medical attention while alternative flights were arranged, Jet Airways said.
