Per NFL's Ian Rapoport, there was hope Guice had only suffered an MCL injury, but the young running back's walk off the plane "was concerning".
It didn't take long for the injury bug to bite the 2018 National Football League season.
Although initial reports suggested the injury wasn't serious, it appears the severity is much worse than expected.
A first-round talent, the Redskins selected Guice with their second-round pick in April's draft.
Guice went down awkwardly after breaking off an impressive run.
Oscars add popular film category, sets earlier air date
Specific categories will be determined at a later date, but the winning moments will be edited and aired in a later broadcast. This experiment failed, and it felt as though the only way to "fix" it was to just go back to five Best Picture nominations.
Guice hyperextended his left knee at LSU last season but was held out of only one game. He has made a quick first impression on his Redskins teammates, including quarterback Colt McCoy, who said Guice has been "fun to watch" and is a "great player". Guice carried the ball six times for 19 yards on 10 snaps and limped off the field on his final touch.
We here also wish Guice, who was having a remarkable training camp, a fast recovery.
UPDATE: The Redskins confirmed Guice tore his ACL. He averaged an impressive 2.84 yards after contact per attempt and forced 35 missed tackles across 168 carries, ranking T-10th and 13th, respectively, among running backs with 100-plus carries that season.
