Former White House aide and reality-TV star, Omarosa Newman, released on August 12 what she claimed was a secret recording she made of chief of staff John Kelly over her firing in the White House situation room.
When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems.
"The first time I ever heard Omarosa suggest those very bad things about this president are in this book", she said, noting Manigault Newman "is somebody who gave a glowing appraisal of Donald Trump the businessman, the star of the 'The Apprentice, ' the candidate and, indeed, the president of the United States".
"You know they run a big operation but I didn't know it".
She alleged that other people have been treated the same way by Kelly, and she voted to blow the whistle on corruption she saw in the House House. I never watched "The Apprentice", didn't care a whit about her brief career as a White House aide, didn't care that she got fired, don't care about her book, and now wish this transient nonentity would just go away.
Through her book and TV appearances, she's exposed private conversations and the inner workings of an unconventional administration, but she hasn't exposed any serious wrongdoing, and it's unlikely she will.
CL Failure Could Lead To League Glory For Liverpool
Jose Mourinho has taken a swipe at Manchester United's detractors a day ahead of his side's Premier League opener at home to Leicester City .
Press Secretary Sarah Sanders told TMZ the act showed a lack of character and that her newly released book "Unhinged" is full of lies. "Once I heard it for myself it confirmed what I feared the most, that Donald Trump is a con and has been masquerading as someone who is actually open to engaging with diverse communities. You leave the room and he probably has a nickname for you", she said. "But when he talks that way, the way he did on this tape, it confirms that he is truly a racist".
After Kelly let her go, she reportedly tried, unsuccessfully, to reach Trump directly to issue a personal appeal, setting off a secret-service alarm in the process.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the latest recording.
She made her allegations on United States television hours after the president had responded to a question about her book - "Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House" - by saying: "Low life". She said that she was "totally complicit" when she defended the president after the Charlottesville riots one year ago.
Ms Manigault Newman then adds "wow", before Mr Trump repeats how he shocked he is. She was a vocal supporter of Trump when he announced his candidacy for president and served as Director of African-American Outreach for Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.
Manigault Newman interpreted as a sign that the president wasn't in control of his own White House and had ceded it to his chief of staff. On Saturday, she accused Trump of starting a "race war".
