Chelsea star Willian has revealed that he would not still be at the club if former manager Antonio Conte had stayed this summer.

But, fortunately for Chelsea fans, Maurizio Sarri replaced Antonio Conte, and Willian, Hazard and Luiz have all chose to stay.

And after the opening day 3-0 victory over Huddersfield the Brazilian was asked whether he would have stayed if Conte had not been fired.

The 30-year-old Brazil worldwide assisted N'Golo Kante's opening goal as Chelsea recorded a 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town in Sarri's first league match in charge last Saturday.

Now the new Chelsea boss has signalled he's happy for Drinkwater to leave, but with the English transfer window shut, he can only agree a move overseas.

"It will require a lot of sacrifice from us all, so that is why I have to continue moving forward as a player".

Ben Stokes NOT GUILTY: England cricketer cleared of affray
The prosecutors alleged that Stokes abused the doorman of a nightclub in Bristol after the latter denied the cricketer re-entry. The jury is likely to retire overnight to consider their verdict in a case that involves one other co-defendant, Ryan Ali.

Sarri will be hoping that the improved mood in the dressing room will lead to a better season than the 2017/18 campaign, when Chelsea's immediate title defence saw them finish in fifth place in the Premier League.

"Now the system is something different, especially the way we play now", Kante told the Mirror.

The 59-year-old Italian football manager also relaxed Antonio Conte's rules on diet and nutrition in his bid to create more relaxed atmosphere for his players at Stamford Bridge.

Laurent Koscielny is another player who is certain to be unavailable for the Gunners as the French centre-back is still months away from returning from Achilles surgery that he undertook towards the end of last season.

"We have a great game to play against Arsenal and we want to win again", he added.

Chelsea's next fixture is against Arsenal this Saturday.
