By the time he arrived numerous boys had already been rescued and British caver Vernon Unsworth, who lives in Thailand and has spent years exploring the Tham Luang cave system where the boys were trapped, said Musk's actions were a "PR stunt" and that the sub had "absolutely no chance of working". "Sorry pedo guy, you really did ask for it", Musk added.
"It just had absolutely no chance of working". Mr Musk travelled to the Tham Luang caverns in Chiang Rai this week and presented the six-foot submarine - which he said could help free 12 schoolboys stranded for weeks inside the cave.
Musk, who has previously given to both Republicans and Democrats, wrote on Twitter on Saturday that he is "not a conservative" but was criticized for the contribution to Republicans.
"The submarine, I believe, was about 5' 6" long, rigid, so it wouldn't have gone round the corners or round any obstacles.
Vern Unsworth told a reporter at 7 News Sydney that he can not put to words what he feels about Musk, but is not ruling out legal action.
Chelsea ace Hazard warned he's only backup in Real Madrid transfer plans
And the 24-year-old has not been told by Juventus about whether he remains in Massimiliano Allegri's plans alongside Ronaldo. Former Juventus player Alessandro Del Piero has hailed the £100million arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid .
Musk tweeted early Tuesday, July 10, 2018, he has visited the cave and has left a mini-submarine there for future use.
Musk's potentially defamatory claims are the culmination of a remarkable week of criticism for the entrepreneur.
The caver, Vernon Unsworth, said the submarine was a "PR stunt" that wouldn't have made it 50 meters into the cave past the dive start point. Unsworth had also stated in a column on Mediate, that he felt it was a publicity stunt for Musk because he had to know it wouldn't work.
When challenged by a Twitter user about the allegation levelled against Unsworth, Musk replied "Bet ya a signed dollar it's true".
Musk's final tweet in the thread referred to Unsworth as "pedo guy". He wrote: "We will make [a video] of the mini-sub/pod going all the way to Cave 5 no problemo". Lashing out and calling a guy who was actually part of the rescue operation in a measurable way a pedophile is probably not a great move!
"Although his technology is good and sophisticated it's not practical for this mission", Mr Narongsak said.
