"When the individual who owned the vehicle did not cooperate, he ended up shooting that auto driver", she said.
The gunman then went to Walmart, Wohl said.
According to a police spokesperson, the call began as a DUI suspect call.
A gunman injured a teen and shot a man in a pair of carjacking attempts Sunday, before being killed by a bystander outside a Washington state Walmart store.
Injured in the suspect's violent spree were the driver of one of the cars he attempted to highjack, and a 16-year-old girl at another location who suffered unspecified injuries, the Seattle Times reported.
There, Wohl said police believe the suspect shot the 16-year-old girl and stole a vehicle.
Police did not identify any of those involved in the incident or the type of weapons used, except to say they were handguns.
Veteran Kashmiri journalist Shujaat Bukhari shot dead in Srinagar
Unidentified gunmen shot Shujaat Bukhari and the two officials as he was leaving his office in Srinagar's Press Enclave. Most Kashmiris support the rebel cause while also participating in civilian street protests against Indian control.
Nobody was injured that time but the same suspect then went outside and tried to steal a vehicle, shooting and wounding the man inside. Indeed, local media reported that the fire department alerted them to a "mass casualty" incident. He had hoped the noise was actually helium balloons popping. On Sunday, a gunman shot a man outside a Walmart in Washington State and wounded a teenager during a carjacking before being fatally shot to death by a bystander.
"Then somebody yelled 'run, run!' and everyone took off", Ms Bailey said.
"There were three civilians going after him to shoot him and two of them had their guns up and then the third guy shot him through the window of the vehicle", she said.
Witness Brian Adams told KING5 TV that "this guy was randomly firing" both inside and outside the store. "He took action. I really think more people could have been shot. he saved us all".
"I was going to buy a water filter, and that was toward where the shooting was, but I chose to go for bricks first, and those little decisions in your life can make a difference". He said he heard about 15 shots.
"People are grabbing their kids and pushing them in front of them and saying go, go, go and starting heading toward the nearest exit and you just start running and you don't know where to run to in all honesty", said Bryan Adams, who was one of the customers inside the store.
