Kudlow said Trump "is not going to let a Canadian prime minister push him around" ahead of his high-stakes summit this week with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Can't do it in person. And what did Trudeau do as soon as the plane took off from Canadian airspace?
He called Mr Trudeau "dishonest & weak" after Mr Trudeau said at a news conference that Canada would retaliate for new United States tariffs.
Kudlow, in a separate TV appearance, said Trudeau was "polarizing" and "really kind of stabbed us in the back".
The statement made no mention of Russian Federation being invited back into the group from which it was kicked out of in response to its 2014 annexation of Crimea despite Trump's insistence that the club would be better off if brought Russian Federation back into the fold.
"Don't blame Trump. It was Trudeau who started blasting Trump after he left, after the deals had been made".
The current Liberals responded in much the same manner as former prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau did upon learning of the 1971 insult by Nixon.
Shortly after its release, Trump attacked Trudeau on Twitter over what he described as the prime minister's "false statements" during the closing G7 news conference - and the president announced the US would no longer sign on. From promoting democracy and to fighting terrorism, "we're on the same page".
Trump also raised eyebrows by urging the G7 to once again become a G8 by bringing Russian Federation back into the fold and for criticizing his allies, including Canada, for what he called unfair trade barriers. You want a tariff free. Canadians, he said, "will not be pushed around".
A few hours earlier, Trudeau had told reporters that all seven leaders had come together to sign the joint declaration.
Donald Trump and Justin Trudeau have been at loggerheads over trade tariffs
Trump also tweeted that Trudeau had acted "so meek and mild" during their meetings and that his tough talk later is "dishonest & weak".
Trump threatened that the United States will stop trading with countries that maintain tariffs on his country's exports, particularly in the agricultural sector, and that he has launched the idea of eliminating all trade duties, because "ultimately that's what you want".
In response, the European Union is preparing new tariffs set to hit USA exports ranging from jeans to bourbon whiskey.
While talking tough with USA allies such as Canada and the E.U., Trump repeated his call for Russian Federation to be allowed back into the elite club, which includes Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the US and Japan.
Trump insisted relationships with allies were a "10" just before he left the summit.
US President Donald Trump warned on Saturday at the G7 Summit here that the US will do whatever is necessary for his country to have fair trade relations with other countries.
"If they retaliate, they're making a mistake", Trump said. He reiterated his longstanding view that the USA has been taken advantage of in global trade, adding, "We're like the piggy bank that everybody's robbing, and that ends".
Like Navarro and Kudlow, Sen.
Melania Trump can't fly for a month, Trump says
