The new Double Gear System will even up the odds for players by increasing Mega Man's speed, slow down time or power up his Mega Buster shots even more. This morning, the publisher revealed several new details about the upcoming title, including a release date, box art and more! When Mega Man reaches critical health, he can use the Double Gear system to access both Gears at the same time! Capcom has also dropped a new trailer that shows a ton of gameplay footage including the new Double Gear system and two of the game's bosses.
Mega Man 11 is firing its way onto all major consoles - including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One - and PC on October 2. Thankfully, it will be available on myriad platforms in order to offer practically everyone the chance to play it at launch. Wily has stolen eight of Dr. Lights robots to use for his nefarious plans. In it, we get a glimpse at some of the new Robot Masters that will be making their debut, along with some of the more challenging levels you'll come across within the game. There's also the Power Gear, which lets Mega Man go beyond his normal power constraints and charge up his attacks for devastating effect. It's set to release on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, but it should be noted that there's a separate special edition for Nintendo Switch owners. There's also Fuse Man; an electrifying speed demon. Whether it's a new coat of paint on top of Shenmue, Square Enix totally pretending that Final Fantasy VII Remake exists or Capcom bringing back the blue bomber with Mega Man 11, old is new again.
